PSL is a 1–10 facial attractiveness scale used in the looksmaxxing community, calibrated so that 5 is genuinely average and 8+ is model tier.
PSL stands for the three forums the scale grew out of (PSL = PUAHate, SlutHate, Lookism). It is a 1–10 rating of facial attractiveness where 5 is a true population average — not the inflated 7-that-means-average you get from mainstream rating apps. A 6 is clearly above average, 7 is conventionally attractive, and 8+ is model tier and rare.
What separates PSL from a casual hotness score is that it is meant to be structural: it rates bone structure, proportion, and dimorphism rather than grooming, styling, or expression. That is why the same person can score very differently on PSL than on a dating-app photo.
