Frame vs. Face: Why Skeletal Structure Changes Everything

Frame — shoulder width, height, and bone size — is a separate attractiveness multiplier from your face. Here's how the two interact, and why the same face rates differently on different frames.

Looksmaxxing communities distinguish between face (PSL — the structural rating of the face alone) and frame (overall skeletal build: shoulder width, wrist and bone size, height, and how these combine into physical presence). They're assessed separately because they behave differently — face dominates in photos and close-up judgment, frame dominates first impressions at a distance and in-person presence.

The reason this distinction matters: two men with an identical PSL 6 face can be perceived completely differently depending on the frame underneath it. A narrow, small-boned frame reads the face as delicate; a wide, imposing frame reads the same face as commanding.

What Frame Actually Is

Frame is largely determined by:
